Summary

9.1

This is a review of yet another Christmas limited edition product – Snow Globe soap. Since it is a limited edition product, this fresh and uplifting soap is only available for couple of months around Christmas. This is so sad since the scent is so fresh and citrusy, it can also be perfect for summer too.

Lush’s description of this fresh and citrus soap is:

When the weather outside is frightful, lathering up with a slice of Snow Globe is delightful! Our best-selling holiday soap is back again this year with its uplifting blend of grapefruit, lemon myrtle and ylang ylang oils to keep your skin and spirits bright. Bring a chunk of this cheery soap into the shower with you for a spot of sunshine on gray winter days.

So lets tart with the review of Snow Globe soap:

Lush Snow Globe soap bar

Product / Quality:

In the Lush store, you can see that Snow Globe soap is a huge dome shaped bar of soap. The whole soap has a blue – green base that is almost translucent and on the top there are white soap balls. The actual bar of soap can be rectangular, square or triangular, it depends of how it’s cut. The bar can also have some white chunks of the white soap balls or can be entirely blue – green, again it depends of which part of the soap is cut. This Lush Snow Globe soap was part of the Winter Wishes gift box which was purchased last year, but sadly this year there are not too many Christmas gift boxes which include this soap bar. You can fin Snow Globe in this Lush gift boxes: Igloo (US only) and Ho Ho Ho, Party Time Goodies and Wow! gift boxes (UK editions only).

The quality of this soap bar is great. The soap makes decent amount of bubbles especially if you use it with loofah or a bath sponge and leaves the skin really refreshed and clean. Again, this soap is not one of the really creamy bars of soap so if you have really sensitive or dry skin, you might want to use some lotion afterwards. If you have normal or oily skin and you like that squeaky clean feeling, then this soap is for you.

Lush Snow Globe soapScent:

In the previous reviews, we’ve mentioned that the Snow Fairy shower gel and the Angel’s Delight soap are for those who like sweet and candy scents. Well, the Snow Globe soap is the exact opposite. The scent is really citrusy and fresh and it doesn’t smell like fake and artificial lemon extracts. It smells like a real fresh lemon, freshly cut, zested and squeezed. Snow Globe is the ultimate ‘wake me up’ soap that you can use when you take your morning shower and it will instantly make you feel refreshed and ready for any challenge that the day might bring.

The fresh citrus fragrance of Snow Globe is quite strong, that’s why the scent lingers on the skin for couple of hours after you take a shower, which is really nice given in mind that the scent of most fresh and citrus scented soaps wears off after 30 minutes to an hour.

So, if you love citrusy and really fresh fragrances, then Snow Globe is for you. The nicest part is that the scent is great for the winter and for the summer time, so get a nice big chunk of Lush Snow Globe soap and cut it in small pieces so you can use it little by little all year round.

Price:

The Snow Globe soap is one of the more expensive Christmas edition soaps at Lush so it has a price of $7.95 for 3.5 oz (£3.10 for 100 g in UK). If you use the Lush Snow Globe soap everyday, it will last you at least three to four weeks, maybe more, it all depends how you store your soap. To get the most out of your soap bar, cut it in three or four pieces and use them one by one. If you use the whole bar of soap, it will melt faster especially if you keep it in your bathroom. Cutting it in pieces and storing the other pieces in a cold and dry place will ensure that the pieces won’t melt and you can enjoy Snow Globe much longer.

Organic / Cruelty Free:

Like many Lush products, Snow Globe also contains fresh natural ingredients. Also Lush is all about fighting animal testing, so Snow Globe is definitely cruelty free product. Here’s a full list of the ingredients:

Water, Propylene Glycol, Rapeseed Oil and Coconut Oil, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Organic Lemon Myrtle Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, Glycerine, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Sodium Hydroxide, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Methyl Ionone, Colour 42090

Snow Globe soap from LushPackaging:

Like we mentioned before, this Snow Globe soap was part of a Winter Wishes gift box that was purchased last year. The gift box was wrapped beautifully and it had four Lush products. If you buy the product separately, it’ll come wrapped in Lush paper packaging.

So overall, Snow Globe is a citrusy, fresh and uplifting soap bar that will definitely brighten up your winter mornings. But don’t use it all up in the winter, save a chunk for the summer and feel refreshed all year round.
