Oh how we’ve missed lathering up in those fluffy pink bubbles! We crave her bubblegum and sweet vanilla fragrance all year, and just can’t imagine the holidays without her. Or famous fairy contains a smattering of biodegradable shimmering luster (or as we like to call it, Fairy Dust), so she won’t harm the earth one little bit! Sparkly, pink and candy scented – what more could we ask for?!
So let’s start with the review of Snow Fairy:
Product / Quality:
The Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush comes in the usual Lush packaging, the clear bottle, black cap and a pink and interesting label. Inside there is a bubblegum pink shower gel with a tiny blue glitter which you can see clearly in the bottom of the bottle. It comes in three bottle sizes 3.3 fl. oz, 8.4 fl. oz and 16.9 fl. oz (100 g, 250 g and 500 g) so if you haven’t tried it yet you might want to start with the smallest bottle. But once you fall in love with Snow Fairy, you’ll probably want couple of big bottles, it’s that addictive.
When it comes to quality, Snow Fairy shower gel is amazing. It lathers up really good, especially if you use loofah or a bath sponge and it leaves the skin really soft and moisturized. And because it is so gentle, you can use it like a shampoo too. Because it has blue glitter in it you might think that once you take a shower you’ll be covered with it from head to toe, but that’s not the case. Once you rinse the shower gel, there won’t be any glitter on your body (if there is some, it’s a very tiny amount) so if you’re not a fan of glitter, you’ll still going to love it.
Scent:
Lush Snow Fairy shower gel smells exactly like the color suggest, sweet and slightly fruity. It smells like candy or more exactly, like candy floss but surprisingly the smell is not overpowering so even if you’re not a real fan of sweet scents you might like it. It definitely has some fruity notes too because the sweet sugary scent is really mellowed down with the fruitiness.
So if you enjoy sweet fragrances, you’ll absolutely fall in love with Snow Fairy. And even if you don’t like too much sweet scents, you might still like it because the smell is sweet but it is quite unique and that’s why people all around the world love it.
Price:
Lush Snow Fairy is definitely not one of the cheapest shower gels out there, but it is a Christmas limited edition so you might want to give yourself a treat during the holidays. It is priced $9.95 for 3.3 fl. oz, $19.95 for 8.4 fl. oz and $29.95 for 16.9 fl. oz. (£3.50 for 100 g, £6.85 for 250 g, £10.95 for 500 g in UK). So all in all, it is not a cheap shower gel, but it really goes a log way because if you use loofah you don’t need much to get a nice bubbles. If you use it like a shampoo, you’ll probably use it up faster. Organic / Cruelty free:
Lush Cosmetics is known for using natural and fair trade ingredients, but the shower gel doesn’t seem to have any particular organic ingredient which is somewhat understandable since it is a shower gel, and needs to stay liquid and lather up nicely (it’s not a soap which can be made with many organic ingredients). Packaging:
We must admit that the packaging and the shower gel itself is really adorable and it makes a prefect gift or a stocking filler. The Snow Fairy shower gel itself looks amazing with that pink bubble gum color and the little ice blue sparkles floating around. Also the Snow Fairy gift box looks really wonderful too. Last year it was wrapped in a pink wrapping paper with small white snowflakes and white and yellow dots and it also had a silver ribbon with a Snow Fairy card and an adorable silver bell. This year the gift box looks a bit different, it is still wrapped in a pink wrapping paper but it has big white snowflakes with white, hot pink and yellow sparkles. It is tied with a silver cord and it still has the Snow Fairy card with the listed product but as far as we can see there is no bell. But nonetheless it still is a great looking gift.
All in all Lush Snow Fairy shower gel is a great gift and stocking filler for Christmas, so why don’t give yourself or someone you love a sweet little treat. Just be careful, the scent is so amazingly sweet and unique that it may become your all time favorite and you’ll find yourself buying it every Christmas.
