Homemade face mask for oily skin with mint and cucumber

Cucumbers and mint are an excellent ingredients for homemade face mask for oily skin. Grate 1/2 cucumber and squeeze the juice until you get 3 tablespoons of cucumber juice. Take 10 fresh mint leaves and crush them with a mortar and pestle until you get a paste. Mix the mint paste with 3 tablespoons of cucumber juice.  You can apply this mask with your fingers, with a cotton pad or you can use one of those compressed face masks that expand when submerged in liquid. Leave the mask on your skin for 15-20 minutes and rinse your face with lukewarm water. This mask controls sebum secretion, and also refreshes and cools the skin.

Lemon juice is very effective for controlling sebum secretion and it’s great for oily skin. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon and place 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice in a cup. Dilute the lemon juice with 4 tablespoons of cold water. Apply this homemade face mask for oily skin with cotton pad or use compressed face mask that expands when submerged in liquid. Leave the mask for 15-20 minutes (or until it dries) and wash your face with lukewarm water. If you don’t have a lemon in your kitchen, you can use orange or lime. Regular use of this mask will help you with the excess oils, just don’t overdo it, use it 1-2 times weekly. If you’re going to expose your skin to the sun, make sure that you use a good face cream with high SPF.

Homemade facial mask for oily skin with yogurt

This is extremely easy homemade facial mask for oily skin made from only two ingredients that you probably have in your kitchen. In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of plain unsweetened yogurt and one tablespoon of oat flour or fine oatmeal. After that, rinse your face with cold water while massaging your face with circular motions. This mask helps remove the excess oils and dead skin cells.

From ancient times it  has been known that certain types of clay have purifying and cleansing properties, so here’s an effective homemade face mask for oily skin with clay and rose water. In a small bowl add 2 tablespoons clay (you can use green clay or bentonite clay) and mix it with 1 tablespoon of rose water. If the mixture is too thick, yo can add more rose water. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it to dry (about 0-15 minutes). Rinse the mask with a small face sponge and lukewarm water.

Peel 1/2 tomato, mash it with a fork until nicely mashed and add one tablespoon of honey. You can also use a blender.
