Homemade solutions for the eyes and lips

For puffy eyelids and bags under the eyes
On the eyes apply some raw potato or some tea bags for 15 minutes. Best tea is chamomile or black tea.
For red eyes and swollen eyelids helps if you rinse them with lotion prepared from cornflower. Prepare it with a handful of cornflour and 1 cup of distilled water. Cover the flowers with the boiled distiled water and leave the mixture until the water cools. With the strained liquid moisten a cotton pad and place them as compresses on your eyelids for 15 minutes. This lotion can be used also as a face lotion.
Bags, dark circles under eyes and puffiness of the eyelids appear most often when you do not sleep enough, so be sure to take a good night sleep.
Ice ‘melts’ the puffy eyes. The cold from the ice shrinks the blood vessels. The same effect have the eye masks, which are pre-cooled in the freezer or chamomile or black tea frozen in ice cube container. Move the ice cube from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner.

Masks for the eye contour
These masks smooth the fine wrinkles formed by drying of the skin. In pharmacies and cosmetics shops there are ready to use eye patches enriched with active ingredients and vitamins, from which the skin rapidly regains its elasticity. Good homemade eye masks are fresh sliced cucumbers (or blended with the skin, applied on cotton pad and then onto the eyes) or dried apricots soaked in little bit of water until they are softer, then you mash them and apply them onto your eyes. Leave these masks for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water.

Lip mask
First exfoliate your lips by rubbing them with a little bit of sugar. Then apply the mask.
Mix 1 teaspoon yogurt and a 3-4 drops of lemon juice and apply to the lips. When it is dry wash it and your lips will be soft and smooth.
Also good mask or lip balm is honey, which you can apply it on the lips and leave as much time as you can.

For nourishing and growth of the eyelashes
To nourish and enhance the growth of the eyelashes, heat some almond oil in a water bath, then wait to cool a little bit and applied it with a cotton swab on the eyelashes until the oil is still warm. Leave it for 30 min and washed it with rose water. Almond oil also softens the skin and can be used instead of cream.
