Homemade anti acne treatment – Honey face mask

This is an incredibly easy anti acne homemade face mask that has been tried and tested for many years by many people. Honey has antibacterial and wound healing properties, it’s also anti inflammatory and helps to reduce the redness cased by acne. Organic manuka honey works the best for this purpose, but if you only have raw organic honey in your cupboard, you can use that too. All you have to do is to apply a thin layer of honey (around 1 teaspoon) on a clean and dry face. Leave the honey on your skin for 15-20 minutes and then massage your face gently for 2-3 minutes. Rinse the honey with lukewarm water. After this homemade anti acne honey treatment you’ll see that your skin is softer and acne and redness is reduced.

 

Homemade anti acne treatment – Aspirin toner

Many people have written positive things about the Aspirin toner against acne and the reason is that it does work. Aspirin is also known as acetylsalicylic acid which as you guessed it, is related to salicylic acid which is often used in many anti acne products. The most basic recipe for Aspirin toner is: In a clean bottle add 1/2 cup of distilled water and dissolve 8-10 uncoated Aspirin tablets in it. Shake the bottle before each use and apply the Aspirin toner with cotton pad. You can customize your homemade anti acne Aspirin toner by adding 2-3 tablespoons of organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, aloe vera gel, witch hazel toner etc.

Homemade anti acne treatment – French green clay and lemon face mask

Clay has been used for many yeas because of its detoxifying and deep cleansing properties. It’s great for cleaning those pesky blackheads that we all know how hard are to be reduced and less visible. But if you have sensitive or dry skin, avoid clay masks because they can irritate or make your skin too dry. The only important thing that you need to know is to not use metal bowl or spoon when making this homemade anti acne facial mask because the clay and lemon react to metal. In a small bowl (plastic or ceramic) add 2 teaspoons of French green clay and one teaspoon of lemon juice and mix well. The clay should create a thick foam. Apply the mask on a clean face and leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Homemade anti acne treatment -Aspirin and plain yogurt face mask

This is another effective anti acne homemade treatment that combines the anti acne properties of Aspirin with the calming and cooling properties of plain yogurt. Crush 2-4 Aspirins, depending how sensitive your skin is, and mix it with one tablespoon of plain unsweetened yogurt. Mix well and apply the anti acne homemade facial mask on a clean and dry skin. Leave the DIY face mask for 15-20 minutes or until the yogurt dries and rinse with lukewarm water. This homemade anti acne facial mask with egg white and lemon is great for cleaning and shrinking the large pores. It’s also great for tightening the skin if you have fine lines and small wrinkles. In a bowl beat one egg white until fluffy, add one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well. Apply the DIY anti acne facial mask on a clean skin with a brush or with your fingers and leave it for 10-20 minutes or until the mask dries. Rinse the mask with lukewarm water.
